Although we opened the Tampa Bay Leadership Accelerator in 2019, the concept has been about two decades in the making! We believe it takes a person a long time to understand great leadership. We have been studying, practicing, teaching, and writing about leadership since 1990. We both earned a PhD in Management from the University of South Carolina and have been working in higher education for most of our adult lives. We have been around the world on a ship (Semester at Sea, spring 2009), lived in New Zealand, raised three children, written dozens of articles about leadership & strategy, and taught hundreds of college classes.

About the Logo
We believe a logo should symbolize the company's mission. If you look closely, you will see that our logo is a tree, but it also contains the image of two people - arms raised, working together. Successful leaders create conditions for others to succeed.
